ThingCost ("the App") is developed by TheKnack. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App.
All information you enter in ThingCost (item names, prices, purchase dates, photos) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not have access to your personal data.
ThingCost uses TelemetryDeck for privacy-friendly, anonymous usage analytics. TelemetryDeck does not collect personal data, device identifiers, or IP addresses. It uses differential privacy techniques to provide aggregated insights (such as which screens are most visited) without identifying individual users. No advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking is used. TelemetryDeck is fully GDPR and CCPA compliant.
The App does not use advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or any technology that requires App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission. We do not collect device identifiers or behavioral profiles.
We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third parties. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share a cost card or CSV export using the system share sheet.
All data is stored locally on your device. If you delete the App, all associated data is permanently removed. The App does not use cloud backup or sync.
ThingCost does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The App does not require account creation or personal information of any kind.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
