Terms of Use

Effective date: August 9, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of Ethiopian Bible: Lost Books ("the App"), developed by TheKnack. By using the App you agree to these terms.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.

Purchases

The App offers an optional auto-renewing subscription, "Full Library", in two plans of identical content: $4.99 per month or $44.99 per year (prices in US dollars; local prices and taxes are set by Apple and shown in the App before you buy). Both plans include a 7-day free trial for readers who have not used one before.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you take one. The subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it at any time in the App Store: your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling before a free trial ends costs nothing. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased. Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policies.

If you bought the one-time "Full Library" unlock in version 1.0, it still stands. It never expires, it never renews, you will never be charged again, and the App verifies it on every launch. It is no longer offered for sale, and you do not need a subscription to keep what you bought. Restore it at any time from Settings → Restore Purchases.

Without a subscription the App remains fully usable: 67 books — the complete King James Bible and the complete Book of Enoch — the Canon Map, search, highlighting, bookmarks and your own notes are free with no time limit.

Content, Sources & Licenses

The App contains historical religious texts from public-domain translations (including the King James Version via ebible.org, R. H. Charles's translations of 1 Enoch and Jubilees, and the 1840 Book of Jasher) and from freely licensed community translations: 1, 2 and 3 Meqabyan are Wikisource community translations used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license, and remain under that license (changes made: reformatting into chapters and verses). Full attribution is available in the App under Settings → Licenses & Sources.

The texts are provided for reading and study. They are historical documents; the App presents them with source information and makes no doctrinal claims.

Acceptable Use

You may not reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the App itself. The public-domain and CC-licensed texts inside it remain governed by their own licenses noted above.

Disclaimer of Warranty

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While every text names its source and we take accuracy seriously, we do not warrant that the translations are free of errors inherited from their historical sources.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheKnack shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
