Ratora — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 August 2026

The short version

Ratora collects nothing. There is no analytics SDK, no tracking, no advertising identifier and no account. Your favourites, custom units and conversion history live on your device.

What stays on your device

Every pinned pair, custom unit and recent conversion you create is stored locally on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is backed up to us, because there is no us to back it up to.

Network use — the one request Ratora makes

Unlike most of our apps, Ratora does make a network request, and we want to be exact about it. When you use the currency room, Ratora asks a public exchange-rate service (api.frankfurter.dev, which serves European Central Bank reference rates) for the current rate table. That request contains a base currency code and nothing else: no identifier, no device information, no conversion you have performed, no account, no cookie. We send nothing about you because we have nothing about you.

Unit conversions — every family except currency — are pure arithmetic on constants and are computed on your device with no network involved at all.

How current the rates are

The European Central Bank publishes its reference rates once per working day, around 16:00 CET. Ratora shows you the date those rates were published and how old they are, on every screen that shows a rate. Ratora does not offer, and does not claim to offer, a real-time or market price.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. Ratora receives from Apple only whether a subscription is active. We never see your payment details.

Permissions

Ratora requests no system permissions at all — no camera, location, notifications, contacts or photos. There is nothing to allow.

Your data is yours

Deleting the app deletes its data with it; there is no copy on our side.

Children

Ratora is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes with it.
