By downloading or using Septuagint: Apostles' Bible ("the App"), published by TheKnack, you agree to these terms.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.

What is free

All fifty-three books of the Greek Old Testament, full-text search, the Apostles' Map, the Greek–Hebrew psalm numbering bridge and export are free of charge and always will be. Scripture is never placed behind a purchase.

Subscription

The App offers an optional auto-renewing subscription, Septuagint Pro, in two plans: monthly and annual. It unlocks the reverse direction of the Apostles' Map, unlimited bookmarks, highlights and notes, an introduction to every book, and reading plans.

New subscribers begin with a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and the first payment is taken at that point.
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless auto-renew is switched off at least 24 hours before the period ends.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, and renewals are charged to the same account.
You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period continues until it expires.
Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.
Prices are shown in the App in your local currency before purchase and are set in App Store Connect; they may change with notice.

Purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policies. You can restore a previous purchase at any time from Settings → Restore Purchases in the App.

Content and sources

The App contains public-domain texts: the Septuagint in Sir Lancelot Charles Lee Brenton's English translation (1851) and its Greek text, obtained from eBible.org; the King James Version (1769 text) used for New Testament quotation text; and the Textus Receptus Greek New Testament. Quotation pairings derive in part from openbible.info cross-reference data, used under the Creative Commons Attribution licence. The typeface Literata is used under the SIL Open Font Licence 1.1.

The Apostles' Map's tradition badges are produced by our own measurement of these texts, with a small number of entries decided by hand; they are offered as scholarship, not as doctrine.

Your content

Bookmarks, highlights and notes you create stay on your device. We never receive them, and we cannot recover them for you.
