Caliper — Privacy Policy

Caliper is built by TheKnack. Caliper is designed to collect no personal data at all.

What we collect

Nothing. Caliper does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information.

There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third‑party trackers.

Every measurement — level, ruler, angle, and the sound quick‑check — is computed **on your

device** using its built‑in sensors:

Motion & tilt (accelerometer/gyroscope) power the level and angle tools. This data is

processed in real time on the device and is never recorded or transmitted.

The microphone is used only to display a live decibel reading. Audio is measured on the

device in real time and is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere.

Your saved readings and projects live only in the app's local storage on your device. They are

never uploaded.

Caliper works fully offline. The only network activity is with Apple's App Store when you

choose to purchase or restore Caliper Pro; that transaction is handled entirely by Apple under

Apple's privacy policy. TheKnack never sees your payment information.

Caliper is safe for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
