The app

Caliper is a set of pocket measuring tools — a bubble level, an on‑screen ruler, a protractor/angle finder, and a decibel quick‑check — plus guided Jobs, a measurement log, and precision calibration.

Measurement accuracy

Caliper's readings depend on your device's sensors and screen and are intended for everyday, practical use. **They are approximate and are not a substitute for a calibrated professional instrument.** Do not rely on Caliper where a precise or certified measurement is required (structural, safety, medical, legal, or professional contexts). You are responsible for how you use the readings.

Caliper Pro

Caliper Pro is an auto‑renewing subscription that unlocks every guided Job, the unlimited measurement log with projects, and precision calibration. It is offered in two plans:

Monthly — $4.99 per month
Yearly — $39.99 per year

Both plans begin with a 7‑day free trial. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency and are set by the App Store; the price on the paywall is always the price that applies. Billing and renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, after any free trial ends. The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the period already paid. If you cancel during the free trial before the last 24 hours, you are not charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial. What happens when Pro ends. Nothing you measured is deleted. Your readings stay on the phone, but the free tier shows only your most recent 25 — anything older is kept and becomes visible again when Pro resumes. Free does not display or edit those older readings in the meantime. Lifetime owners. Caliper Pro was previously sold as a one‑time purchase. If you bought it that way, it remains yours permanently — nothing renews, nothing is charged again, and Restore brings it to a new device. That product is no longer offered to new customers. Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to the Apple Media Services terms. Restores are available on any device signed in to the same Apple Account.

Acceptable use

Use Caliper lawfully and as intended. Do not attempt to reverse‑engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app.

Disclaimer & liability

Caliper is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TheKnack is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, the app or its measurements.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the current version is always posted here.
