Privacy Policy

The short version

Citora collects no data. None. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking SDK, and the app makes no network requests of its own. Everything you mark, write, or add stays on your device.

What lives on your device

Your marks — the cities and countries you mark as visited, with optional visit years.
Your notes and photos — stored in the app's private container on your phone. Photos you add are copied into the app; Citora uses the system photo picker, which means the app never gets access to your photo library, only to the images you explicitly choose.

Export means yours

You can export your entire record (marks, notes, photos) to a single file at any time, free. That file goes wherever you send it — Files, AirDrop, a drive. Importing it restores everything. We never see it; there is no server to send it to.

Purchases

Citora Pro is an optional subscription processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We do not receive your payment details. Subscription management and refunds are handled by Apple.

App Privacy label

On the App Store, Citora's privacy label is "Data Not Collected" — because there is nothing to collect.

Data sources

City and country reference data: GeoNames.org (CC BY 4.0). Coastline geometry: Natural Earth (public domain). This is map data bundled inside the app, not data about you.
