Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Flockora ("the app", "we", "us") is developed and distributed by TheKnack. Questions or concerns: flockora.support@theknack.dev.

2. What stays on your device

Flockora stores your records locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData. We do not upload, mirror, or read this content. The data on your device includes:

• Your egg logs, day and week counts, and hen-day history
• Your hens — names, breeds, dates, status, notes, and any photos you add
• Health records and any follow-up reminders you set
• Feed and expense purchases used to compute your cost per egg
• Hatch batches and candling results
• Your preferences — flock name, store egg price, reset hour, notifications, and appearance

3. What we collect off your device: nothing

Flockora contains no analytics and no third-party tracking or diagnostics SDK. Nothing about how you use the app — not app launches, not screens viewed, not crashes, not performance — is sent to us or to anyone else. Your flock and your spending never leave your device.

This matches Flockora's App Store privacy label, which is marked Data Not Collected, and the app's bundled privacy manifest, which declares no collected data types and no tracking.

4. Weather advisories and location (Flockora Pro)

If you turn on weather advisories (a Pro feature), Flockora asks for your location once to look up local heat and frost conditions through Apple's WeatherKit. Your location is used only to fetch that forecast; it is not stored by Flockora and never sent to us. Apple's WeatherKit and location services are governed by Apple's privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy. If you do not enable weather advisories, Flockora never requests your location.

5. Photos

When you add a photo of a hen or a health note, Flockora uses Apple's photo picker. You choose the specific image; the app does not access your wider photo library. The photo is stored locally with your records. We never see it. Photos are available in the free tier — we never paywall them.

6. Notifications

Flockora can remind you about candling and lockdown days, coop chores, and health follow-ups. These are scheduled locally on your device via Apple's notification system; no push server is involved. You can change or disable them anytime in iPhone Settings → Flockora → Notifications.

7. Export — your data is yours

Flockora Pro lets you export your records to CSV and PDF at any time from the Ledger. The export is created on your device and shared through the standard iOS share sheet to wherever you choose. Your data is never held hostage.

8. What we do not do

• We do not require an account, sign-up, or login.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.
• We do not use advertising identifiers, and we never show ads.
• We do not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt — there is nothing to track.
• We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

9. App Store purchases

If you purchase Flockora Pro (monthly, yearly, or lifetime), Apple processes the transaction. We receive a receipt from Apple confirming your status; we do not receive your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs payment data: apple.com/legal/privacy.

10. Not veterinary advice

Flockora is a record-keeping and budgeting tool for backyard chicken keepers. Its health features let you log what you observe; they do not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice. For a sick bird, consult a veterinarian.

11. Children

Flockora is rated 4+ on the App Store. We do not collect personal data from anyone, including children, and we do not direct any data collection or advertising at children.

12. Data retention and deletion

Because your content lives on your device, you control it directly:

• Access & export: open the app — everything is there; export it anytime with Pro.
• Delete content: remove eggs, hens, records, or purchases inside the app.
• Delete everything: delete the app, and all local data is removed with it.

We retain no server-side copy of your content, because we never receive it.

13. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA and other regions)

Because we hold no personal data about you on any server — and collect no analytics at all — most data-subject requests resolve entirely on your device:

• We collect no data off your device, so there is nothing on our side for us to disclose, correct, or delete.
• We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
• To erase everything, delete the app.

EU/EEA and UK residents retain all rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents retain all rights under the CCPA/CPRA.

14. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how Flockora handles data, this page will update with a new effective date. Substantive changes will also be surfaced in-app on your next launch.

15. Governing law

This policy and the operation of Flockora are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Where European Union consumer protections (including the GDPR) provide stronger rights, those rights apply to EU residents.
