Frequently asked

How do I compress a video?

Tap Choose a video on the Home screen and pick one with the system picker. Choose where it's going — WhatsApp, iMessage, Email, Discord, or a custom size — and Shrinkora computes an encode that fits, shows you the result size and a quality preview, and compresses it on your device.

Do my videos get uploaded anywhere?

No. Shrinkora has no network access at all — there is no networking code in the app. Every compression runs on your device's own hardware encoder, and your videos never leave your phone or iPad.

Why does the app never ask for photo-library access?

Shrinkora uses Apple's system photo picker, so you hand the app one video at a time. The app cannot see the rest of your library, which is why you never see a "grant access to Photos" prompt.

What does "fits WhatsApp" mean?

Each destination has a practical size limit (for example, WhatsApp around 64 MB, Discord's free tier 10 MB, email 25 MB). Shrinkora computes the encode so the result lands under that limit — or, if that isn't possible without dropping quality too far, it tells you honestly before you commit.

What's free, and what's in Shrinkora Pro?

Shrinkora includes 3 free compressions at full quality, no watermark. Shrinkora Pro unlocks unlimited compressions, batch mode (compress several at once), and every destination including custom megabyte targets.

Will compressing lose quality?

Shrinkora shows you a before/after quality preview and the estimated size before you commit. For most videos at phone-screen size the difference is not noticeable. When a target is small enough to force a visible drop, the app says so plainly and lets you decide.

Does it work on iPad?

Yes. Shrinkora runs on iPhone and iPad.
