Horizora collects nothing. There is no analytics SDK, no tracking, no advertising identifier and no account. Every date you keep lives on your iPhone.
Every countdown, milestone, note and photo choice you create is stored locally on your iPhone, inside the app's own storage. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is backed up to us, because there is no us to back it up to.
Horizora makes no network request of any kind. There is no server, no sync service, no cloud account and no remote configuration. The app works identically in aeroplane mode.
Horizora can write a single backup file into your iCloud Drive so that a new phone can pick up where the old one left off. That file is yours: it lives in your Apple account, we never see it, and we could not read it if we wanted to. You can turn it off, delete it, or open it in the Files app like any other document. Backup and restore are free and always will be — paywalling the safety of your own data is exactly the failure Horizora was built to answer.
If you choose a photo as the background of a countdown, Horizora asks for permission at that moment and stores only a reference to the image you picked. The photo itself never leaves your device, and Horizora does not read anything else in your library. If you decline, the app keeps working exactly as before.
Horizora asks for notification permission only when you first set a reminder, and it explains why before the system asks. Reminders are scheduled on your device by iOS. If you decline, every countdown still works — you simply will not be reminded.
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. Horizora receives from Apple only whether a subscription is active. We never see your payment details.
Horizora is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes with it.
