Horizora is built so that you do not. Your dates are stored on your iPhone and are never deleted by an update. Open Settings → Backup & Restore to keep a copy in your own iCloud Drive; a new phone can restore from it, and restoring never removes anything you have added since.
A widget shows "Open Horizora to add your first date" until you have created and saved at least one countdown. Add one in the app and the widget fills in at the next update.
Touch and hold the Home Screen, tap +, search for Horizora and pick a size. Touch and hold the placed widget and choose Edit Widget to select which countdown it shows. The Home Screen widget is free at every size.
The larger line is the honest unit at that distance; the smaller one is the exact number of days. On the small widget only the honest unit is shown, because one number is what a glance can take in.
Open Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling there stops the renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Deleting the app removes every countdown from your device. If you kept a backup in iCloud Drive, delete that file in the Files app too.
