Micro Journal is designed with privacy at its core. Your journal entries are your most private thoughts, and we treat them accordingly. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All your information stays on your device.
All journal entries, mood data, streak information, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.
Micro Journal does not collect:
Micro Journal offers an optional app lock feature using Face ID or Touch ID. Biometric authentication is handled entirely by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework on your device. No biometric data is accessed, stored, or transmitted by Micro Journal.
If you enable daily reminders, notification scheduling is handled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to external servers.
Micro Journal Pro subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Subscription status is managed by RevenueCat, which processes only anonymous app user IDs — no personal data is shared with RevenueCat.
The export feature (Pro) allows you to share your journal entries as a text file using the iOS share sheet. Micro Journal does not retain or transmit exported data — sharing is handled entirely by iOS.
Micro Journal uses the following third-party service:
Micro Journal does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. Since we do not collect any personal data from any user, there is no age-specific data processing.
You can delete all your journal entries at any time from Settings → Delete All Entries. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data permanently.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
