How do I write today's line?

Open the app and tap Write today's line on the Today tab. Type your sentence (up to 280 characters), optionally pick a mood and attach a photo, then tap Save.

Can I edit what I wrote?

Yes. Tap Edit this line under today's sentence. You can change the text, the mood and the photo.

How does the streak work — and what happens if I miss a day?

Your streak counts consecutive days with an entry. Missing a day does not necessarily end it: the app keeps streak freezes. You start with one and earn another for every seven-day streak, and a freeze is spent automatically to cover a single missed day that sits between two days you wrote.

A day you skipped stays visible in your timeline as a quiet gap, marked "not written" or "freeze used". Two missed days in a row will end the streak — one freeze covers one day.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open the Pro screen (Settings → See what Pro adds, or any locked tab) and tap Restore. That reinstates a purchase made with the same Apple ID.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by the App Store. Go to iPhone Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Micro Journal to change or cancel. Cancelling at least 24 hours before the period ends prevents the next charge.

Do my entries sync between my devices?

No. Micro Journal has no sync — it does not use iCloud or any other service, so your entries stay on the device you wrote them on. The WHERE row in Settings says the same: “On this device.”

To carry your journal somewhere else, use the Pro export — plain text or the PDF Book of Days.

How do I back up my journal?

With Pro, Settings → Prepare a text export gives you a plain-text copy, and Make a Book of Days produces a printable PDF of everything you have written. Both use the iOS share sheet, so where the file goes is up to you.

How do I delete everything?

Settings → Delete every line. This is permanent and cannot be undone; it also erases the copy carried over from an earlier version of the app.

Why can I only see the last seven days?

The free plan shows the last seven days of your timeline; nothing older is deleted, only hidden. Pro opens the full history, the month view, the rhythm page, exports, custom reminders, Face ID lock and four more themes.
