Ratora

A unit converter that never interrupts you — and whose currency tells you how old it is.

What it does

Ratora converts. Your value and its answer sit on either side of a beam, held level, with the exact relationship engraved between them: 1 in = 2.54 cm. There is no submit button and nothing covers the keypad — the answer is already there as you type.

Fourteen unit families, no ads

Length, mass, volume, temperature, area, speed, time, data, pressure, energy, power, angle, fuel economy and cooking — all of them, without limit, without advertising and without an account. Multi-convert shows one value across every unit in its family at once. Fraction entry and a tape reading handle imperial lengths the way a tape measure does (3 ft 5 5/8 in). The cooking room knows that flour, sugar, butter and rice do not share a density: one cup of flour is 125 g and one cup of sugar is 200 g, and Ratora says so.

Honest about dates

Unit factors are constants and never need a date. Exchange rates are different — they have one. Ratora Pro carries the currency layer: European Central Bank reference rates for the codes the ECB publishes, retrieved once each working day around 16:00 CET. Every screen that shows a rate also shows the day it was published and how old that is. Offline, a dated cache still answers. Ratora never claims a real-time or market price, because it does not have one.

Ratora Pro

An optional auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, with a 7-day trial offered to new subscribers. It adds the currency layer with its dated offline cache, a 30-day trend per pair, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, custom units you define yourself, unlimited pinned pairs and 250 recent conversions. The Terms of Use set out the renewal and cancellation terms in full; the price is shown in the app and on the App Store in your own currency.

Your data stays yours

There is no account, no sign-in and no analytics. The only network request Ratora makes is the rates fetch, and it sends a base currency code and nothing else — no identifier, no conversion content, no user data. App Privacy is declared as "Data Not Collected".
